The Akshaya Patra Foundation has also stepped in the relief work by providing cooked meals to flood-affected people of Kerala in Edathua, Alapuzha District. With a team of 25 employees and four distribution vehicles, Akshaya Patra has begun its relief service since Monday, 13 August 2018 by providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the affected people of the area. The food is being delivered to people in Akshaya Patra meal delivery vans, boats, and also being distributed in the temporary kitchen in one of the college’s auditorium in Edathua. The affected people are being served with locally palatable dishes such as boiled rice and sambar, vegetable pulao, tomato rice, upma, chapati and curry .
